Inland Northwest in Charge Policy Packet
During 2000 Inland Northwest in Charge (INIC) implemented a policy strategy emphasizing partnerships with key representatives from state agencies, the Governor's office, legislators, advocacy groups and local planners; and developed a set of principles upon which to base healthcare access proposals to the state.  INIC approached the state with requests that relate to specific elements of the INIC plan and with a broad proposal that furthers overall heatlhcare access goals of Eastern Washington.  The Policy Packet contains a document which describes the INIC Policy Principles, a First Draft Proposal to State Policy Leaders, a table that summarizes specific policy elements of each INIC project area and a copy of legislation that was drafted which would support the development of affordable insurance for the working uninsured.  If you have questions about the materials in this packet contact Lisa Capoccia at the Health Improvement Partnership:  (509) 444-3088, Ext. 214 / lisac@hipspokane.org
